I don't dislike dogs although they tend to like me a lot. Once I had a dog ran next to me while I was jogging on a beach. I almost got bitten by one while cycling home over 30 years ago. I never touched them, and never wanted to.
But what used to be a "persona non grata and non-violent" relationship with dogs is now a touchy issue to me. Today I read some idiot decided to hold a 'touch dog' campaign. I thought WTF. Is it necessary? Why you need to touch them just to show your affection? I mean, do we need to waste a whole new campaign just so that you can touch a dog?
What will they think next? Why stop with dogs? Why not love and touch pigs too? Hell, might as well let me touch your wife too. Anybody wanna touch me? No not there. Here, down here.
